Successful lobbying efforts must incorporate strong grassroots strategies and clear communications material. An integral part of lobbying, on both the state and federal level, is the ability to effectively communicate the client’s position; this requires a complete understanding of those that oppose the client’s position, and the dichotomy therein. Important tools in the box of success are “white Papers”, background information handouts, and research papers to be utilized in communications with Members and their staff. We work closely with Falls Communication—a collection of extremely talented writers and research analysts—to prepare most of the needed written materials. Our success over the years, relative to high profile legislative events, supports the fact that this is a key attribute of both staffs.
