Tommy Medaglia began working full time for Thomas Advisors, Inc. on January 1, 2013 upon graduation from American University where he obtained an Interdisciplinary degree in Communications, Legal, Economics and Government (CLEG) program in the School of Public Affairs.  Mr. Medaglia interned for the majority staff of the House Ways and Means Committee from January of 2011 through December of 2012.   Prior to that he worked part-time at Thomas Advisors, Inc. from 2009 through 2010.

His current primary responsibilities include working tax and energy issues and is assigned to monitoring the House Ways & Means Committee, the House Energy & Commerce Committee, and the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee for clients.

Mr. Medaglia is actively engaged in the business development area of practice at Thomas Advisors, Inc., utilizing his knowledge of social media, technology, and the “do’s and don’ts” of startups.

He is currently working with several technology startup companies advising them on how to properly structure their financing and grow their business in a robust yet controlled manner. Mr. Medaglia takes the lead role for Thomas Advisors when a company needs a complete market analysis of the US to help them decide whether or not to enter the US market with their product.

During his years at American University, he was involved in many extracurricular activities where he held leadership positions, including the Vice President for Colleges Against Cancer. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Mr. Medaglia is a scratch golfer and has participated in the multiple qualifying trials for the U.S. Open.
